How do we solve compostion of transformation problems?

How do we solve composition of transformation problems?

In order to do a composition of transformation you would need two or more transformations combined.

A problem would be there is a triangle. Point A is on the origin. Point B is (-3,0) and C is (-3,-3). What would be the new coordinates when the image is dilation three and rotated 90

How do we identify compostion of transformation?

How do we identify composition of transformations?

A composition of transformation is when two or more transformation are combined. The way this would appear is as r y-axis •T 3,1. You would translate it and then reflected it.

A problem would be R90•T 3,3

How do we graph dilations?

Dilations are a type of transformation that causes. An image to stretch or shrink in proportion to it's original size. To know which to do you use a scale factor that tells you how much the original has grown or shrink. For example the point (6,3) and the scale factor is 3 shown as D3. You times the (x,y) by three. Which would end with a point (18,9). A problem would be the three points A (1,2) B (3,2) andC (3,1). A' is (8, 16). What is the scale factor?

How do we identify transformations?"
A transformation is is when you move a geometric figure.
There are four types of transformations:
+Translation
+Rotation
+Dilation
+Reflection
Example of a translation:

 Example of a rotation:

Example of a reflection:

Example of a dilation:

T(5,2) You would add five to x. Then add 2 to y.
A problem would look similar to A is (0,0) B (2,2) C (0,2) and D is (2,0). What would be the coordinates if R90 degrees.
